Legion Sports Bar has announced it will be closing its Bellevue location, according to a message shared on Instagram. In the post, the team wrote, “After much consideration, we have decided to close our Bellevue location and focus back to where it all started at Lumen Field Stadium. Come see us there! Thank you to everyone who supported us.” The concept will continue operating at its location inside Lumen Field.
According to a representative for Legion, the restaurant’s final night of service in Bellevue is Thursday, April 30.
The sports bar opened in October 2023 and was founded by local restaurateur Leilani Wong alongside Seattle Seahawks legends Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman. The concept brought a Southern-inspired American menu to downtown Bellevue, along with a large-format space designed for game days and group gatherings.
Located at 700 Bellevue Way Northeast, the 7,620-square-foot restaurant featured a lounge, main dining area, and private dining space. The address has seen multiple restaurant concepts over the years.
Prior to Legion, it was home to Pearl Seafood and Oyster Bar, which first opened in November 2008 and closed during the pandemic without reopening. Before that, the space housed Trader Vic’s.
