Visit Bellevue has introduced Ride Bellevue, a new bike-access program designed to connect visitors with electric, gravel, and mountain bikes as well as local cycling expertise. The program comes through partnerships with electric micromobility company Ridy and North Bend-based cycling outfitter The Line Bike Experience, and is meant to link Bellevue’s hotel guests to the city’s expanding network of trails and bike routes.
Two hotels are currently taking part: Hyatt Regency Bellevue and The InterContinental Seattle Bellevue. Guests staying at either property can access bikes and e-bikes to get around the city without a car.
Through the Ridy partnership, guests can scan a QR code at either hotel to activate a bike rental.
Separately, The Line Bike Experience is offering hotel guests a complimentary one-hour ride credit. Riders using that credit can start either at the outfitter’s headquarters in North Bend or at its solar-powered Eastrail Trailhead Kiosk, located near Eastrail just south of the Wilburton Light Rail Station.
The Line Bike Experience is also developing a shuttle route connecting Bellevue to its North Bend headquarters, which the company describes as one of the largest bike-demo centers in the country. Visitors who make the trip can test a range of bikes and get route recommendations for the Snoqualmie Valley Trail, Raging River State Forest, Tennant Trailhead, and other regional trails.
Riders can choose between an electric bike for longer scenic routes, a gravel or trail bike for Eastrail and local rides, or a mountain bike for more adventurous terrain.
Electric bikes paired with Eastrail access can also support longer, Woodinville-oriented rides, though riders are encouraged to check the Eastrail Trail Map and consult with The Line Bike Experience before mapping out a route.
Some options, particularly e-bikes and relaxed trail rides, are considered beginner-friendly, while mountain biking may call for more experience. Advance booking is recommended, and in some cases required, through a hotel’s QR code, voucher instructions, or directly with The Line Bike Experience.
“By placing our rental kiosk directly on the Eastrail, you don’t need to own a bike, haul gear, or worry about maintenance. You just show up and ride,” said Michael Kunz, CEO of The Line Bike Experience, in a release. “We’re thrilled to partner with Visit Bellevue to bring this experience to the region, and this is only the beginning. Together, we’re building a foundation for events, programs, and expanded facilities that will help more people discover the joy of riding.”
