2017 Bellevue Magic Season Launches Friday, November 24

Bellevue Magic Season launches this Friday, November 24. This is the 21st season of downtown Bellevue turning into a holiday destination with Bellevue Collection’s Snowflake Lane, holiday performances at Meydenbauer Centre Theatre, KidsQuest Children’s Museum’s Gingerbread House Workshops (now sold out), Garden d’Lights, and an ice arena at Bellevue Downtown Park.

Snowflake Lane
There will be falling snow, lights, characters and holiday music from November 24 to December 24. This year, Snowflake Lane is a combination of parade with floats and drummers, dancers, princesses/princes, and Santa, who is making an appearance on his sleigh. The nightly parade takes place at 7:00 p.m. and can be seen from any place on the sidewalks on both sides of Bellevue Way between Northeast 4th Street and Northeast 8th Street. For more information, visit SnowflakeLane.com.

Holiday Performances at Meydenbauer Centre Theatre
There is a series of holiday themed productions, including Evergreen City Ballet’s The Nutcracker, Sammamish Symphony Orchestra’s Christmas in Bellevue, International Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker, and Magical Strings — A Celtic Yuletide. The shows will run from November 25 to December 23. Meydenbauer Center Theatre is located on Northeast 6th Street. Tickets for most shows are available through Brown Paper Tickets at BrownPaperTickets.com.

Garden d’Lights
Over half a million sparkling lights are formed into shapes of plants, flowers, birds, animals and cascading waterfalls at the Bellevue Botanical Garden. From November 25 to December 31, Garden d’Lights is open nightly from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The cost is $5 per person, and children 10 and under are free. The event is free on November 27 through November 30 and December 4 through December 7. On-site parking costs $5 per vehicle (cash only) and is free with a disabled parking permit. There is free parking at Wilburton Hill Park. For more information or to purchase tickets in advance, please go to gardendlights.org.

Bellevue Magic Season Ice Arena presented by Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® card
The Magic Season Ice Arena has a heated viewing area, shelter for all-weather skating, concessions, and special skating events. Beginning on November 24 until January 15, the newly expanded ice arena will be at Bellevue Downtown Park. The cost is $14 for admission (including skate rental), and $10 admission for 8 years and under.
