The City of Bellevue is looking for feedback from the community after the first neighborhood greenway has opened. It is located on 165th and 166th avenues in East Bellevue.

The City wants to know thoughts on the project, aiming to create a safer, more comfortable corridor for people to walk and bicycle through the neighborhood.

A short questionnaire for residents to fill out will help to determine whether to keep or refine project features, and will help to plan future greenways. The questionnaire will be live through January 2022.

According to the City of Bellevue, the two-mile long greenway runs from Southeast 14th Street to Northup Way. Features of the East Bellevue Demonstration Greenway include rapid-build, decorative traffic circles at five intersections, stop sign repositioning at key intersections, bicycle pavement, speed ruction to 20mph from 25mph, and wayfinding signs directing people to nearby destinations.

The 165th and 166th avenue greenway route has been identified in the city’s long-range transportation plans for more than a decade.
