Bellevue has reclaimed the spot of highest rent in the Greater Seattle Metro area, after falling to second place in October 2023, trailing behind Kirkland. Zumper, the real estate platform, analyzed active listings in November, across metro cities to show the most and least expensive cities, and cities with the fastest growing rent. This specifically pertains to the month of November.

The price of a one bedroom unit increased 0.4% in just one month, to a median of $2,340, while two bedroom units fell 2.1% to $2,810. Kirkland rent fell to second place, with rent at $2,300. Redmond came in as the third most expensive city, with rent for a one bedroom at $2,230.

The least expensive cities to live in were Wenatchee, Port Angeles, and Tacoma. Tacoma, the last expensive of the three, cost $1,400 for a one bedroom unit.

Interesting to note from the study, the fastest growing rents for the year were Seatac, Lacey, and Oak Harbor. While the cities with the fastest growing rental rates month over month were Lakewood & Wenatchee, which were tied with a 6% increase, Renton with a 4.8% increase, and Burien, which increased by 4.5%.

All of this information is in comparison to the median rent in Washington for a one bedroom unit, which was $1,573 for the month of November.
