Theo Chocolate has opened a holiday pop-up shop at Bellevue Square. It is situated on the second level, occupying the space formerly held by The Body Shop, and is located near Woods Coffee and Me + Crepe.
The store offers a variety of holiday gifts, including Halloween and Christmas-themed items. Customers can find products ranging from chocolate bars and flavored chocolates in decorative packaging to apparel like shirts and sweatshirts. Notable chocolate items include cat-shaped chocolate-covered marshmallows, a holiday chocolate collection with assorted flavors, peppermint cocoa cups, and an oversized chocolate Santa.
The grand opening for the pop-up shop is scheduled from October 25 to 27. During this event, shoppers can sample chocolates, enter raffles, and receive a gift with their purchases.
The holiday pop-up will be open through mid-January.
Theo Chocolate was established in 2005, in Seattle, WA, by Joe Whinney and Jeff Fairhall. Joe Whinney was a leader in the organic cocoa industry, previously launching the first company to supply bulk organic cocoa and chocolate products in the U.S.
The main store for Theo Chocolate is located in Fremont (Seattle), where they provide guided tastings, baking, and chocolate painting classes, and seasonal events like Trick-or-Treating. The Fremont store is Theo Chocolate’s only physical retail location, although products can also be purchased online. Their chocolates are available at various retailers, including Met Market, QFC, and Amazon.
The Body Shop previously occupied this space but closed in 2024 as part of a broader exit from the U.S. market. The company closed all its locations in the U.S. and several dozen in Canada.
