A new boba tea shop, Macu Tea, is set to open on Northeast 4th Street in Bellevue, taking over the location formerly occupied by TRÀ Viet Coffee & Tea. TRÀ, a boba shop known for its strong Vietnamese coffee and tea, as well as its premium bubble tea, smoothies, and pressed juices, had been a popular spot for takeout.
The address of the new Macu Tea shop will be 10435 NE 4th St.
Store signage indicates that Macu Tea will soon open at this location. The Taiwanese brand is recognized for its fresh fruit teas and creative drink options, earning popularity throughout its other venues in areas like California, British Columbia, and Taiwan.
This will be the first Macu Tea location on the Eastside, with the only other Washington location being on Northeast 45th at the University of Washington.
Macu Tea is a Taiwan-based brand founded in 2008. The company has built a reputation for its “drinking desserts” and fresh fruit teas. Its menu includes a variety of drink options, including brewed teas, milk teas, chi-chi series, and fruit-infused beverages, many of which can be served hot or cold.
The brand’s focus is on freshness, and they emphasize the careful selection of the highest quality fruits to craft every drink. Macu Tea also offers a wide range of premium toppings, which are designed to add layers of flavor and texture to their drinks.
Among Macu Tea’s signature offerings are its “drinking desserts,” which include fresh layered slush drinks in flavors such as strawberry, grape, and chocolate tiramisu. These drinks provide a unique twist on traditional bubble tea.
