Fox & Kit, a coffee shop and indoor playground concept, is planning to open its doors at Bellevue Connection. Located at 550 106th Ave NE, next to Itadaki Yakiniku Japanese steakhouse, the cafe aims to cater equally to parents and children, providing a space that combines high-quality coffee with a thoughtfully designed play area for kids.

The concept was developed by interior designers and married couple Devin and Kyoko Westberg, who opened the first Fox & Kit location in San Rafael, California. This new Bellevue location marks the brand’s debut in Washington state. The space is inspired by European coffee culture, especially Vienna’s historic coffee houses, which are known for bringing people together in a creative and relaxed environment.

Parents can enjoy a menu of coffee drinks inspired by traditions from around the world, including Vienna, Istanbul, and Tokyo. At the same time, kids can explore a Waldorf-inspired indoor playground with a grass hill, color-changing tunnels, climbing structures, a sensory cave, and spaces for reading, costumes, and creative play.

Fox & Kit’s play area is designed for children aged 9 months to 11 years. Families with multiple children can take advantage of a sibling discount.

This is the first establishment of its kind in downtown Bellevue, combining an upscale coffee experience with a child-friendly play environment. According to the website, The Westbergs envision Fox & Kit as more than just a cafe — it is to be a social hub where families can enjoy quality time together without compromise.

Robert Laing and Julie Fontanez of Engel & Völkers Seattle represented Fox & Kit in this lease agreement.
