Pinstripes, the Italian-American bistro that was set to open at 555 Tower in Bellevue, will no longer be moving forward with its planned location. Signs at the space now indicate that it is available for lease.

Initially announced in 2023, Pinstripes was expected to bring a combination of dining, bowling, and bocce ball to Bellevue. The venue was designed to include bowling lanes, bocce courts, and ample outdoor seating. The menu was planned to feature wood-fired pizzas, seasonal gelato, wine, rotating craft beers, and handcrafted cocktails.

Dale Schwartz, Founder and CEO of Pinstripes, had previously expressed enthusiasm for the project. “Vulcan Real Estate has constructed an extraordinary iconic jewel box that is designed perfectly for the Pinstripes concept,” Schwartz said at the time. “Our goal is to create a welcoming venue for the community while also providing a tailored destination for corporate events.”

The retail space had been scheduled to open in mid-2024. However, Vulcan Real Estate, the developer behind 555 Tower, has not provided any updates regarding Pinstripes’ withdrawal. A representative for the company stated that they have no news to share on the matter.

555 Tower, developed by Vulcan Real Estate and completed in 2023, was designed by architecture firm NBBJ. The 42-story tower includes a standalone retail pavilion surrounded by public open space. The building is located at 555 108th Avenue Northeast.

According to Vulcan’s website, 21,000 square feet of retail space remain available for lease, previously designated for Pinstripes. Meanwhile, the one million square feet of office space in the tower is fully leased to Amazon.

Commercial leasing for the available retail space is being handled by Robert Arron and Geralyn Vannoy of Vulcan Real Estate.
