Twisted Cork Bellevue0/8 Seafood Grill & Twisted Cork Wine Bar will transform into Twisted Cork. The new restaurant concept will offer a new affordable menu full of Northwest cuisine.

Solstice Restaurant Group’s owner Matt Bomberger, who manages both STIR Martini + Raw Bar and Twisted Cork, felt that with the many fine dining options opening recently in Downtown Bellevue that there was room for a more casual dining experience.

“0/8 Seafood Grill was competing with an incredible number of eastside fine dining restaurants, however our wine bar, – which is decidedly more casual, has always drawn a loyal and lively crowd,” said Bomberger. “Evolving the Twisted Cork concept to offer a bistro style menu based on local ingredients allows us to fill a niche.”

Although the interior will mostly stay the same, the menu and pricing will change. Entrées will be priced from $15 to $24, and smaller plates will be priced from $6 to $13. Twisted Cork will continue to have their famous award-winning Washington and Northwest wine programs.

  1. Does this mean the food will be better? I tried 0/8 sometime back and would never go back.

  2. boo. I like their food alot (overpriced though) and they have the best breakfast in town. I wish they’d do more with the music stage, I think that would really set them apart. Right now they bascially have random cruise ship performers and it really distracts from the meal rather than enhacing the overall experience.

  3. I liked their food a lot too. Their wasabi scallop appetizer served in an oyster shell was a total winner. I hope they get to keep that one.

  4. I really hope that they keep their breakfast. I like it a lot! I’ve also really enjoyed the Saturday nights when they’ve had a “soul band” playing. My parents love the old-school songs, and my friends do too! It’s certainly a unique spot in Downtown Bellevue.

  5. LD – Thanks for your kind comments. To answer your question – Yes, we will be keeping the sashimi scallop on the half shell!

  6. Lea and KD – Yes, we are keeping breakfast! We are also trying out a Jazz Brunch for Valentine’s Day. If it all works out, we may be adding it as a permanent offering for Sunday Brunch. We are always evolving our Friday and Saturday night music. Check out our Facebook (facebook.com/TwistedCork) for posting of the upcoming acts.

  7. Twisted Cork gives pretense in Bellevue a whole new meaning. Your staff is obviously more gracious to certain guests. Larger drink pours, quicker intial response, friendlier to some, no smile for others and things of that nature. With moneys tight and many choices in Downtown Bellevue, customer service is the deal breaker these days….I am in the customer service industry and have had Ritz Carlton World Class Service Training. I would not go, nor would I recommend your restaurants or bars to anyone, no matter what the name is changed to and no matter how good your “scallops” are. Best of luck.

  8. We need a Food Court like the ones seen at Airports & some shopping malls like Northgate Mall, Southcenter Mall etc. Bellevue Square just has a few eateries spread throughout the mall –not a food court. Who the hell wants to go to restaurants all the time & deal with incompetent, degenerate servers who are mostly a bunch of high school kids slow & late in the brain? Also, the growing number of Mexican cooks are filling up these fine restaurants, hence, the poor quality of how the food is cooked. The teenagers who are waiters & waitresses & the mexican cooks are annoying & the worst workers!!
