Nike will be opening a storefront in Bellevue Square. It will be located on the first level, in between Chanel Beauty and Madewell.
The store will feature shoes, apparel, and accessories. The new space will be 8,883 square feet.
There are currently 250 Nike store locations across the United States. This will be the first storefront to open on the Eastside. In more recent years, a Nike outlet store opened in Factoria, which carries products from previous seasons or have minor defects.
Chanel Beauty is also planned to open next to this location, some time in Fall 2022. The store will focus on fragrance and beauty products like perfume, makeup, and sunglasses.
Although vacant since March 2020, this location was previously the Microsoft Store. Microsoft announced in June 2020 that it would be closing all 83 of its Microsoft Store retail locations. The store first opened at Bellevue Square in November 2010.
Microsoft explained that they have shifted their focus to their online retail store, in large part due to needing to adapt during COVID-19. The company said that they will continue to invest in digital innovations across software and hardware.
