Snapdoodle Toys & Games will open a temporary pop-up location at Bellevue Square this fall, according to a company representative. The store will operate from October through January on the second level of the shopping center, near Macy’s and next to ROYCE’ Chocolate.
The locally owned retailer specializes in quality, classic, and innovative toys for children of all ages. Snapdoodle currently operates a Bellevue location at 1100 Bellevue Way Northeast, in the same retail plaza as UPS and Panera Bread.
The Downtown Bellevue store opened in July 2022 and is one of six Snapdoodle locations, with others in Kenmore, Redmond, Seattle, Issaquah, and Totem Lake.
The Bellevue Square pop-up is expected to draw significant foot traffic during the holiday shopping season. It also comes as Snapdoodle’s existing Bellevue North Plaza store is slated to close in the future to make way for a mixed-use project called “Bellevue North.”
According to the City of Bellevue, plans for Bellevue North include demolishing existing retail buildings and surface parking to construct four mixed-use buildings in two phases.
The project will feature about 950 apartments, more than an acre and a half of retail, and a total of 627 below-grade parking stalls. Wallace Properties is leading the development, which will reshape the site currently home to Snapdoodle’s permanent Bellevue store.
