BelRed Arts Studio

The BelRed Arts Studio recently opened its doors, marking a major addition to Bellevue’s BelRed Arts District. The ribbon-cutting ceremony drew a large crowd of community members, artists, and local officials.

Located within walking distance of the BelRed Light Rail Station, the new facility features six affordable artist studios and a 740-square-foot common area designed for classes, workshops, and community programs. The layout aims to foster creativity and collaboration among artists while providing a flexible space for public events.

Each studio is designed with functionality and comfort in mind, offering abundant natural light, 24/7 access, and street-facing windows that showcase artists’ work to passersby. For those who don’t need a full studio, locker memberships are available, allowing artists to store supplies on-site.

The shared common area is fully equipped for a range of uses, featuring kitchen access, a projector and monitor, a PA system, tables and chairs, gallery wall space, and free parking. This setup makes the venue suitable for art classes, exhibitions, and pop-up events.

The BelRed Arts Studio currently hosts several resident artists, including photographer and author Twyla Sampaco, potter Emma Johnson, interdisciplinary watercolor artist Lamecca Bostwick, oil painter and art director Ryan Johnson, illustrator Sammy Ng, fine arts mentor Sunyoung Kwon, and multimedia artist Jocelyn R.C.
