The Saks Fifth Avenue Club at the InterContinental Bellevue officially closed on February 14, 2026, less than seven months after opening in August 2025. The Bellevue location offered a private, by-appointment shopping experience, marking Saks Fifth Avenue’s first extension of its Fifth Avenue Club concept beyond Seattle.
During its operation, the Bellevue club provided clients—both local and visiting—with a high-touch, personalized shopping experience. Saks stylists curated selections for each guest within private suites, and the club also hosted exclusive events such as designer trunk shows and seasonal previews.
Broader Fifth Avenue Club Closures
The Bellevue closure is part of a larger wave affecting Saks Fifth Avenue Clubs nationwide. In February, the company announced it would shutter 14 standalone clubs, including locations in Rancho Santa Fe, Menlo Park, Santa Barbara, Denver, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Savannah, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Charleston, Nashville, Austin, Fort Worth, and Bellevue.
Saks plans to retain only three clubs in markets it identifies as having stronger growth potential and intends to open a new location in Palm Beach, Florida, in the fall of 2026.
This marks the end of Saks Fifth Avenue’s luxury styling services in the Pacific Northwest. The parent company, Saks Global—which also owns Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus—filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in mid-January 2026. As part of a cost-cutting and restructuring plan, the company announced closures that include eight Saks Fifth Avenue stores, 14 Fifth Avenue Clubs, and one Neiman Marcus location. Two Bergdorf Goodman stores in New York City will remain open.
Saks Fifth Avenue’s departure leaves Washington without a presence for the brand, following the earlier closure of the Saks Off Fifth discount store at Seattle’s Westlake Center in July 2024. Neiman Marcus previously closed its sole local store at the Shops at The Bravern in 2020 amid bankruptcy proceedings.
