Dick’s Drive-In’s food truck served its first stop in Bellevue on Friday, December 4. Local aficionados plowed through deluxe burgers, shakes, chips, and beverages. There are no fries being served at this time.
It was one of five stops planned for the food truck by the fast-food outlet. In addition, stops are (or have occurred) in Bellingham, Everett, Renton, and West Seattle.
Dick’s Drive-In food truck is part of a company effort to discover high-traffic locations that may lead to future physical burger joints. To view upcoming events and locations for the food truck visit the Dick’s Drive-in Food Truck webpage.
Dick’s Drive-In is a fast-food restaurant chain located in the Seattle metro area. Founded in 1954 by Dick Spady and others, the enterprise operates seven locations in the Puget Sound.
We reported in October that Dick’s Drive-In announced that they would be launching a new food truck. Community members had the opportunity to vote on where the truck should stop at first. Bellevue originally ranked in the top five places.
The fast-food restaurant is also searching for a permanent location on the Eastside. Dick’s Drive-In had a location in Bellevue in the mid-1960s from 1967 to 1974.
Lunch in Bellevue, at the Dicks food truck today, it was GREAT. Easy short line with 6 foot distancing. A very professional and charming lady from their home office, greeted each and everyone of us standing in the rain. Now that’s how to put your best foot forward. great job DICKS…Jon Abood Dockmaster Bellevue marina
