Northwest farmhouse-inspired restaurant, The Lakehouse, and craft cocktail destination, Civility & Unrest, are re-opening mid-October, after temporarily closing their doors five months ago. Owner Jason Wilson has announced that The Lakehouse will reopen on October 12, and Civility & Unrest will reopen on October 14.
Chef Jason Wilson is bringing a new food team to both projects, with Scott Emerick leading the kitchens and Tanya Emerick serving as pastry chef.
The restaurant and bar closed in April after struggling to keep their doors open through the COVID global pandemic. After much planning and repositioning, Wilson and the Emericks are inviting guests back to The Lakehouse, which will exude the same farmhouse feel, but has become a more casual environment.
The Emericks will also be opening a new retail space within the restaurant. Cuisine du Marché will offer products supporting local artists like kitchen staples, cards, artisan soaps, vintage tea towels, candles, lifestyle products, wines and more.
Scott Emerick brings a longstanding career and chef posts at Campagne, Le Pichet, Lark, Harvest Vine, and several Michelin-starred restaurants in France. Tanya’s pastry career started when she and husband Scott opened Crémant in 2007. The two bring the leadership, pedigree, and creativity that Wilson sought.
Wilson will remain the owner of The Lakehouse and Civility & Unrest, and will continue as Executive Chef at The Lodge at St. Edwards State Park.
The Lakehouse will be open for dinner, a robust takeout program, and Cuisine du Marché offerings Tuesday through Saturday from 4pm to 10pm. It will also be open on weekends for brunch beginning October 17 at 10am.
Civility & Unrest will offer cocktails, liquors, and sparkling selections Wednesday through Saturday, from 4pm until close. The Lakehouse dinner menu will be offered until 10pm, followed by a late-night menu from 10pm to close.
