Chamei Matcha, aquick-serve cafe known for its high-quality Japanese matcha beverages and desserts, has officially closed its Bellevue Square location. The shop, which first opened in 2021, was situated on the first level of the shopping center, directly outside Macy’s department store.
Chamei Matcha offered a menu centered around authentic Japanese matcha, featuring drinks and desserts. Beyond its signature matcha-based items, the cafe also served fresh fruit teas, soft serve, shaved ice, obanyaki (Japanese stuffed pancakes), and taiyaki (fish-shaped pastries filled with sweet fillings).
In addition to its primary menu, Chamei Matcha also hosted Loli Waffle, a croffle pop-up that gained attention for its unique take on croissant waffles. Served on a stick, these croffles came with a variety of flavored toppings.
The space Chamei Matcha occupied was previously home to the Steve Madden store, a popular footwear and accessories retailer.
Recent openings at Bellevue Square include the highly anticipated Barnes & Noble, now in the former Z Gallerie space, along with popular activewear brand Vuori and luxury jewelry store David Yurman.
Bellevue Square shoppers can look forward to the upcoming openings of clothing retailers H&M, TravisMathew, and fast-fashion brand Mango.
If The Rent Wasn’t SO HIGH. There Wouldn’t Be Sooo Many Empty Store Fronts. And No One Can Seem to Explain. Why the McDonald’s Space is Still Empty for 3 Years now.
Totally understandable with the service and offering. In one morning long ago, the store was opened but nobody inside not even staffs. However I saw cash just laying on the counter. I was shocked how long this shop lasts.
easy for people to complain about high rents,. but retailers who succeed are the ones manage to provide good products and services. Chamei is not one of them.
