Bellevue Animal Hospital has officially relocated to a new address in Downtown Bellevue, moving from its long-standing Main Street location.
The hospital’s new location is now open at 1188 106th Ave NE, Suite 100B, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. The event will include guided tours, a meet-and-greet with the veterinary team, pet-friendly giveaways, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food, and a wine tasting in partnership with Ambassador Wines.
Dr. Donald Gerard, a Bellevue native and graduate of Bellevue High School (Class of 1988), owns the hospital with his wife, Dr. Melanie Gerard. He began working at the hospital in 1993 and graduated magna cum laude from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. The couple says they aim to continue delivering high-quality, affordable care while exploring new ways to serve the local pet community.
The relocation comes after the original building at 1048 Main Street, where the hospital operated, was purchased by SRM Development in July 2020 for $3.25 million. The former building, constructed in 1955, spans 3,900 gross square feet.
SRM Development, a Bellevue-based real estate company, is planning a mixed-use residential project in its place. The development is proposed to include 278 residential units, 298 parking spaces, and 20,000+ square feet of commercial and office space, including a 7,000-square-foot public plaza. The project will rise seven stories and feature studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments, as well as a rooftop deck and club room.
