After 45 years in business, Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler will permanently close its Bellevue location this September. The closure follows the retirement announcement of Steven Goldfarb, the store’s longtime president and a fifth-generation jeweler. The decision marks the end of an era for one of the region’s best-known family-owned jewelry stores.

Founded in 1980 by Steven’s father, Alvin Goldfarb, the jeweler has operated in Bellevue for more than four decades, offering a selection of designer and luxury pieces, custom-made jewelry, and watches. The store has become a go-to destination for weddings, anniversaries, and other milestones across the Seattle area.

In a statement shared via press release, Steven Goldfarb reflected on the store’s legacy and his decision to step away.

“It has been the honor of a lifetime to share in the stories and joys of our valued clients and to work alongside our team of talented and dedicated jewelers,” Goldfarb said. “This community has become part of my extended family, and while the decision to retire and shutter the store wasn’t easy, it feels like the right time to turn the page and begin a new chapter.”

To thank the community and mark the business’s closure, the store will launch a retirement and going-out-of-business sale starting July 24. Jewelry and accessories will be offered at up to 60% off.

Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler has built a reputation over the years for personal service and expert craftsmanship. As the store prepares to close, the Goldfarb family will celebrate its decades of service with longtime customers and the broader Eastside community.
