This week and next, there will be 3 opportunities to give feedback to the Bellevue City Council and Sound Transit regarding light rail in Downtown Bellevue. Beginning today, Wednesday, this will be the most influential opportunity for the public to give their input into the Sound Transit project. Although being approved by the voters in November, details and specific routes have yet to be decided.
Details on the project can be found at Sound Transit’s Website.
Supporters of an underground tunnel, which would protect residential neighborhoods, avoid severe traffic impact, and avoid the demolition of business buildings, have created what is called The Vision Line. The Vision Line has a dedicated Website discussing pros, cons, and route maps of their desired plan.

I hope they go with the tunnel, the elevated and surface options would be a disaster in downtown.
