SuperKim Khao Man Gai, located at the base of Bellevue Towers, officially closed its doors on Sunday, July 27. The Thai chicken and rice restaurant had been in operation since late May 2025.
According to a statement on the restaurant’s Instagram page, the business is relocating to Seattle’s Pioneer Square, where it will reopen on August 1 under a new name: SuperKim Chicken House. The new address is 166 S King Street, Seattle, WA 98104, where it will share space with SuperKim Crab House.
“We’re grateful for all the support in Bellevue, and we’re hopeful that one day we’ll find the right home to grow there again,” the post stated.
SuperKim Khao Man Gai was the latest concept from the founder of SuperKim Crab House, and focused on traditional Bangkok-style chicken and rice dishes. The change in location and rebranding follows reported challenges with the Bellevue kitchen setup.
According to a business representative, the restaurant’s all-electric configuration caused difficulties in maintaining heat consistency, affecting food preparation times—particularly for seafood items.
The move to Seattle marks a return to Pioneer Square for the business. In its announcement, SuperKim noted that the new location will combine offerings from both the crab and chicken house concepts.
There are currently no plans to reopen in Bellevue, though the business expressed interest in finding a better-suited location in the future.
