Brume, a luxury furniture store located at Avenue Bellevue, has closed its doors after one year in business. The company announced the closure on its Instagram page, stating:

“We loved meeting all of you in Bellevue, and now it’s time to consolidate into one place – at the center of the interior design community, the @seattledesigncenter! Now shop not just Brume, but all of our neighbors as well! Talk to us about our Designer Matchmaking Services! There are several other showrooms that are open to the public! All are welcome!!! We look forward to sharing our new adventure with all of our new friends!”

Brume was founded by Renate Ruby, who also created Adorn after a career in interior design and art. Ruby brings her background as a maker to the brand, emphasizing craftsmanship and sustainability. Brume partners with makers from around the world, including Verellen, Alfonso Marina, Conor Design, Jimeco, and Highland House.

The store now operates solely out of its location at the Seattle Design Center, at 5701 Sixth Avenue South. The Design Center is home to several other public showrooms, where Brume will continue offering its Designer Matchmaking Services alongside other interior design businesses.

During its time at Avenue Bellevue, Brume hosted pop-ups such as The Refind Closet, a women-owned luxury fashion resale company.

Avenue Bellevue itself is a two-tower mixed-use development featuring residences, retail, and dining. It includes 141 Estate Homes in the South Tower and 224 residences in the West Tower.

Retailers at the development include Jo Malone and Fleur Studio, with dining options such as Ce La Vie, an upscale lobby bar, and Fresco, which serves contemporary Pacific Northwest cuisine.
