Goban Korean BBQ will hold a soft opening in Downtown Bellevue on Wednesday, August 12, at 4 p.m., marking the brand’s first location in Washington state.
The restaurant is located at 1015 103rd Ave NE, on the corner of 103rd Ave NE and NE 10th St. During the soft opening, Goban will operate on a walk-in-only basis, with no reservations accepted. Diners can expect full table-side grilling handled by staff, and free underground parking is available nearby.
To celebrate the opening, Goban is offering a special promotion detailed on its Instagram page. Customers who follow the restaurant on Instagram and show the post to staff will receive one free side dish per table. Options include Korean steamed egg, corn cheese, kimchi stew, soybean paste stew, or soft tofu stew.
Goban is recognized for its high-quality ingredients, modern interior design, and elevated approach to traditional Korean barbecue. A representative for the restaurant said that their style aligns well with Bellevue’s diverse and active dining scene, and that opening in the area reflects the brand’s commitment to delivering an authentic experience that also appeals to local tastes.
The Korean BBQ eatery’s new home is MARI Bellevue, a boutique luxury condominium building with 138 residential units, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans. The building offers three levels of underground parking with 160 stalls. Residents have access to amenities such as a rooftop SkyClub with a full kitchen and fireplace, a SkyDeck with grilling stations, a fitness center, a yoga studio, and 24-hour concierge service.
Goban joins Omo Thai Tea, which is also open at MARI Bellevue. Omo Thai Tea’s menu centers on Thai tea made with Ceylon black tea, milk, and sugar, along with soft serve options.
