One Lincoln Tower

One Lincoln Tower is the residential half of Lincoln Square: 148 condominium homes on floors 20 through 42 at 650 Bellevue Way NE, with The Westin Bellevue filling the floors below and three levels of Lincoln Square shops, restaurants and cinemas at the base. Sky bridges tie it to Bellevue Square across Bellevue Way and, across NE 6th, to Lincoln Square South. For a certain kind of buyer that is the whole argument — a home where Din Tai Fung, a cinema, a hotel concierge and a department store are all reachable without going outside.

The tower almost did not happen. Conceived in the late 1990s by Vancouver’s Westbank and Lendlease with Drugstore.com pencilled in for the office tower, the project stalled in the dot-com bust and went to auction; Kemper Development bought it for $40 million in 2003 and finished it, opening Lincoln Square in November 2005 with Skanska building it and the residences delivered in 2006. DBN’s coverage since then has followed the top of the building: a bank-owned penthouse that sold for half its list price in 2012, a $20,000-a-month penthouse rental in 2016, and Edgar Martinez’s two-story penthouse, listed at $9.78 million in 2019 and sold for $6 million in 2020.

Against the newer glass towers — Bellevue Towers on 106th, One88 on Bellevue Way, the Avenue residences up the street — One Lincoln Tower trades newer finishes for the hotel-services model and the sky-bridge address that nothing else downtown can match. See how it compares in our guide to every downtown Bellevue condo building.

“The only downtown Bellevue address where the concierge downstairs is a hotel’s, and the mall is across a sky bridge.” — DBN Editors

Getting Around & Living Here

The building sits in the middle of the Collection, so getting around is the easy part; the notes below are for visitors and house-hunters.

Getting There & Parking

  • Drive: Residents park in the secured Lincoln Square garage under the complex. Visitors and showings use the public Lincoln Square garage, entered from NE 6th or 106th Ave NE, or the Bellevue Square garages across Bellevue Way.
  • Light rail: 2 Line to Bellevue Downtown Station, then roughly three blocks west along NE 6th Street, about a 10-minute walk, or the sky bridge route through the Collection in the rain — see our light rail guide
  • On foot: Bellevue Square is a sky bridge away; Lincoln Square South and the W are across NE 6th; Downtown Park is three blocks south down Bellevue Way; Old Main and its restaurants are about a 12-minute walk.

What It’s Like

This is a hotel-and-mall address, and it feels like one: the base is busy every day of the year and Bellevue Way becomes the Snowflake Lane parade route every evening from late November through Christmas Eve, which residents either love or plan around. The upper floors are what people buy here — west-facing homes look over Lake Washington toward Seattle, east-facing ones over downtown to the Cascades — and the concierge desk makes it a practical lock-and-leave home for owners who travel.

What’s Nearby

You never have to leave the complex: Din Tai Fung is downstairs in Lincoln Square, The Westin Bellevue is the hotel under your feet for visiting family, or Haidilao is across NE 6th at Lincoln Square South.

Good to Know

There is no public website for the owners association, so listings and your agent are the source for HOA dues, rental rules and pet policy. Do not confuse the two addresses: 600 Bellevue Way NE is The Westin’s front desk, 650 is the residential lobby. Floor counts differ between sources (41 vs 42); the curtain-wall contractor’s record of 42 floors with homes on 20 through 42 is the one DBN uses.
