Why upgrade meydenbauer park when lake Washington is rarely clean or safe to swim after a rain or algae growth. Too many marina’s? Or if the water quality (that we must check before thinking of swimming these days) is poor, then often it’s summer and forest fires smoke can force us indoor to clean air locations- not swimming! What happened to METROs clean up of the lake years ago? No longer funded? Too many bird do beaches or more likely too many marinas. I grew up in Bellevue and swam unconcerned with more than swimmers itch until last few years! So sad to see swimming in lake Washington be reduced by global warming and lack of some regulations? Can’t we clean it up or prevent storm drain overflows after rain polluting our lake?
