According to City of Bellevue records, Chick-Fil-A is planning to open a second location in Bellevue. It will be located at 2301 148th Avenue Northeast.
The proposed fast-food restaurant space is planned to include 136 seats. Records show that there will be no outdoor seating and no drive-through at this location.
The building that Chick-Fil-A plans to move into is occupied by the Jubilee Reach Thrift Store. The space is 10,500 square feet.
Chick-FIl-A opened their first Bellevue restaurant in 2015 at 785 116th Avenue Northeast. This location includes a drive-through, as well as indoor and outdoor seating.
The 116th fast-food eatery is currently closed as it undergoes a remodel. Plans include a redesign and extension of the existing drive-through area with stacking lanes in a dual-lane configurations, according to city permits. The location will be a drive-through only service once it reopens.
The City of Bellevue explained that Chick-Fil-A recognizes that there have been ongoing traffic congestion impacts at the restaurant. A reconfiguration of the restaurant and parking lot are underway to ease the congestion on adjacent streets.
I miss the old Denny’s that used to be there. At least you could get in and eat without fighting crowds.
What will happen to the Thrift store? It’s a community staple and the organization does a lot a great work with Bellevue students and families.
I asked at the thrift store, they are not under the impression that they are leaving that location.
This is so upsetting! Jubilee reach is a community store that assists so many people with employment, volunteer services and school programs. The last thing we need is a homophobic, chicken killing fast food restaurant in that space. I hope I can find a petition to sign!
Aside from peoples, political views or whether or not you like chicken, do you know if they will be having a new location
what a waste to have a drive through only location in Bellevue! So much pollution and wasted resources for a lousy chicken sandwich.
I don’t think Jubilee Reach is leaving. Chik-Fil-A probably bought the abandoned building right on the corner of 148th and 24th, the former bank building.

Wow, why the nasty messages? I think 2 locations will help keep the crowd down a bit at the 116th store, therefore the traffic won’t always be so snarled. That’s exactly why I haven’t been there in 3 or 4 years. Once I left an appointment on 116th and saw only 4 or 5 cars in line. I immediately got in line for that great sandwich, shake, and fries. 😂😂😂 I wasn’t even that hungry, but I thought “Damn!! NO LINE!” Oh man it made the sandwich that much more gratifying. It was great 😋
