K-Cafe Dabang, a modern Korean dessert café and tearoom, is opening its first Bellevue location in November 2026. The new spot will operate as K-Cafe Dabang & Lounge and will add cocktails to the coffee, matcha and dessert menu the brand is known for.
The café is moving into the ground-floor restaurant space at the base of Bellevue Towers, 460 106th Ave. NE.
The café shared the news on Instagram with a teaser addressed to Bellevue. The post described the concept as coffee in the morning, matcha in the afternoon and cocktails at night, with small bites served throughout the day.
The Bellevue café will be the brand’s second location. Its first is at 3333 184th St. SW in Lynnwood.
The café takes its name and inspiration from the dabang, the traditional Korean coffee house. The word translates literally to “tea house.” K-Cafe Dabang uses the tagline “Where Seoul’s Past Meets You” and describes its approach as a blend of classic Korean flavors and current dessert trends.
The drink menu focuses on cream coffees such as the Einspänner, an espresso drink topped with a thick layer of sweet cream. The menu also includes yogurt lattes, matcha drinks and other specialty lattes. Desserts include bingsu, a Korean shaved ice dessert, served with toppings such as injeolmi, a roasted soybean powder rice cake. The café also serves croffles, a croissant dough cooked in a waffle iron.
K-Cafe Dabang is a sister restaurant to Wild Wasabi Signature and Wild Wasabi Sushi.
The Bellevue Towers Space
For a decade, the space was home to Lot No. 3. Heavy Restaurant Group, the company behind Purple Café and Barrio, opened the two-story pub in May 2010. Its menu featured pub comfort food, and its Manhattan won Best Cocktail in the Bellevue Downtown Association’s 2011 Haute Picks. Lot No. 3 closed in August 2020, along with Purple Bellevue and Cast Iron Studios.
SuperKim Crab House opened in the space in December 2024. It was the Seattle seafood restaurant’s first Eastside location, and it served Thai-inspired seafood boils and clam chowder. In May 2025, the restaurant closed. A representative said the all-electric kitchen made the seafood menu difficult to prepare consistently.
The same owner reopened the space on May 28, 2025 as SuperKim Khao Man Gai, which served Thai chicken and rice. That restaurant closed on July 27, 2025 and moved to Seattle’s Pioneer Square.
